Most founders have plenty of numbers and no reference points when it comes to managing their brands Amazon store.
You know your ACOS / ROAS but you don’t know whether that’s healthy for your category or not. You know sales are up this quarter but you don’t know how much of that came from searches for you own brand name vs from category terms. You know what you spent on advertising last month but you couldn’t be sure if it was spent efficiently or if it was wasted.
Without a benchmark, a number is just a number. You can’t tell whether it’s a problem or not, so you can’t decide what to do about it.
So we’re going to work through the seven areas that determine whether an Amazon account is healthy, one at a time, and give you the reference points for each one so can use it as a test on your own brand.
For every area, you’ll get four things:
✅ The metrics to track. There are dozens of numbers in Seller Central and only a few that tell you anything useful.
✅ Where to find them. The exact report and where it lives, because several of these are buried.
✅ What good looks like. The range a healthy CPG brand sits in, and why.
✅ Whether being outside it is a problem. Some of these cost you money every month you leave them. Others can wait. We’ll tell you which are which, so you’re not spending time on fixes that won’t change your numbers.
✅ And a bonus to help you work with all of those metrics.
The seven areas
✅ PPC. TACOS, ACOS, your branded vs non-branded ad sales split, and how much of your spend goes to keywords that have never made a sale.
✅ SEO. Where you rank organically on your top search terms, what you aren’t ranked on but should be, and where competitors are beating you.
✅ Traffic. Sessions per SKU, month over month, and whether they’re growing at the same rate as your ad spend.
✅ Conversion rate. Unit session percentage per SKU against your category, which tells you whether you have a traffic problem or a listing problem.
✅ Inventory. Weeks of cover, days out of stock in the last 90, and how long a restock actually takes.
✅ Subscribe & Save. Your attach rate and the share of units shipping on subscription.
✅ Profitability. Net profit per unit after Amazon fees, COGS and ad spend, per SKU rather than for the brand as a whole.
Three options per area: in range, out of range, or don’t know.
Don’t know counts as zero. Most founders can’t tell you their Subscribe & Save attach rate or their organic rank off the top of their head, and that’s normal. But not knowing is a finding in itself, because you can’t manage a number you’ve never looked at. You’ll leave with a score out of seven and a list of the areas you need to go and check.
What you take home
✅ The Amazon Account Scorecard.
✅ The session teaches you the seven areas. The Scorecard scores them from your own reports. It’s a Claude skill pack, plus a manual checklist if you’d rather do it by hand, and it tells you exactly where in Seller Central to pull every report it needs.
✅ It scores what your reports cover and tells you what it couldn’t see. It’s yours whether you make the live session or watch the replay.
If you want the full picture
The Scorecard tells you where you stand, but our Profitability Roadmap tells you what each of those gaps is costing you in dollars, and how to fix them.
It covers all seven areas, with a 90-day plan attached. We build it, then walk you through it live to answer your questions and help you start working the plan.
And the big added bonus?
Everyone who claims a Profitability Roadmap by October 15th goes into a draw, and one lucky brand gets our top brand managers hands on, in their account for two months, worth over $9,000.
The winner gets a full PPC audit and cleanup, then their ads managed for two months. Two listings optimized end to end, covering SEO, main image, image stack and A+. A weekly working session with us. And any account health or catalog issues found, flagged, and taken care of so you don’t have to worry about it.
Eligibility is $50,000+ per month in Amazon sales, US marketplace, F&B or CPG. To enter, start a Profitability Roadmap by October 14th. The draw is at random on October 23rd, announced by email and in the Foodbevy community. One entry per brand.
Who this is for
The session and the Scorecard are for any F&B or CPG founder selling on Amazon, at any revenue. If you’re in your first year, this gives you the benchmarks you don’t have yet. If you have been on Amazon for a while and already have a successful brand, this helps you to see the areas where you could improve even further.
If you’ve looked at your Seller Central dashboard and wondered whether your numbers are actually good or not, or if you are wondering if Amazon is really for you, this is the session that answers that.
