Let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there. How did your company get started and why?

In 2020 the founder, Parker, got curious about nutrition and began trying different nutritional regiments for 30 days at a time. He ran these experiments on himself for 18 months & found that the month where we supplemented with functional mushrooms was the month where he felt best. He dove into the research & found that these mushrooms – Lion’s Mane, Chaga, Cordyceps, Reishi & Turkey Tail are really anti-inflammatory and act as potent brain supplements. Parker became obsessed & launched forij to sneak healthy mushrooms into your diet to help you reap the benefits without any of the earthy, unpleasant flavor.

What is your product and how would you describe it?

Functional Granola – We combine low sugar, clean ingredients with vital brain nutrients (with mushrooms at the core of this mix!)
 

How have you pivoted your business this year?

This year we focused on improving product quality and going through a brand redesign.
 

What is your next challenge to overcome?

We are entering some larger retail accounts & looking to tread carefully with promos while also looking to move our operations to the Midwest. Any and all help is appreciated!
 

What do you predict for the food industry over the rest of the year?

Inflation
